About Me

I consider myself to be a Bard, although mostly I tell stories through the written word, I do sing, dance and play the tambourine -- sometimes all at once. According to Sidereal astrology I'm a Leo. (Which is where the stars actually are) I follow a Celtic Shaman's path, but I do study Wicca too. I am an ordained Christian Wiccan High priestess. The Spirit is Love and I really love God and Goddess. I believe in Jesus and White Buffalo Calf Woman. OddyseyT when pronounced outloud is Audacity and RavenHawk is my given Native name from the Spirit from my 20s. My religion is Love. When I was a kid I was like a cross between Tom Sawyer and Anne of Green Gables. Those are the kids I identified the most with in books. I consider myself androgynous on the inside and do not understand what it means to feel like a "woman" or feel like a "man" I feel like both, neither, either at any given time. I really can't relate to people that feel one way or the other, but I accept them. I am also bi-romantic demisexual and polyamorous by nature.

Freedom Tribe is an up an coming band on the music scene on the west coast.  They have put out eight albums so far.  Freedom, the leader of the Tribe, and lead vocalist and songwriter calls his music “Medicine Music” and his music certainly seems to have a soothing and soulful quality to it.  His voice tends toward the hypnotic at times, and the lyrics have a deep spiritual inclination.

The spirituality in the music is of a “non-denominational” variety.  By that I mean, Freedom allies himself with no specific set of “rules” or dogma, yet it definitely remains spiritual.  There is imagery from Native American spirit animal lore and references to angels in many of his songs, for example.  People love to come to the shows and dance and sing along with the music.  He started out as a drummer as a teen for punk/alternative bands, and has grown a lot since then.  His stance on personal freedom is well known and seems to have attracted the attention of Neo-Nazi skinheads who actually killed him for about a minute and a half when he was about seventeen.  The song “Believe” talks about this.  Apparently he “woke up a poet.”  He moved on to do several impromptu shows at, among other places, a café in Bellingham, WA where he accumulated resources to move on to a more professional act.  Newest releases include “To Her,” “The Fool,” “Desert Highway,” “Isis,” and “Music of Angels.”

Over the years he has worked with other such great artists as Tina Malia, Sasha “Butterfly” Rose, and Joules Graves.  Freedom Tribe’s members include: Rob Peebler, Jim Riordan, Josh Wellington, Dan Schmidt, and Al Torre.  Lately Freedom has been teaching small intimate classes to people on how to write and develop poetry, lyrics and song for a fee. https://freedomtribesong.com/ On his website https://www.freedomtribenation.com/ there is a long quote from Nathan “Saith” Gangadean calling him a rock star.  I wouldn’t go so far as to call the music rock and roll – it’s far too unique for that.

My favorite video of Freedom ever. Probably won't change my mind. I was at least at this venue with them if it wasn't this particular show
